What Is Pure Tone Audiometry?
Pure tone audiometry is a detailed clinical test that measures how well you hear different sound frequencies—from low (250 Hz) to high (8000 Hz). It checks the minimum volume levels (thresholds) at which you can detect specific tones in each ear.

About Pure Tone Audiometry
Understanding Your Audiogram What the Test Results Show
After your pure tone audiometry test, the audiologist will give you a graph called an audiogram. This chart shows the softest sounds you can hear at different pitches, for both your left and right ears.
Hearing Thresholds
